Veterans Day and the Centennial marking the end of
World War I to be observed at the Museum of American Armor

As the world observes the centennial anniversary of the end of World War I, Boy and Girl Scouts will the reciting many of the names of Long Islanders who served during the Great War, World War II, Korea War, Vietnam War, the Gulf War and Afghanistan during ceremonies at the Museum of American Armor, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, New York, Sunday, November 11th at 10:30 a.m. Taps will be played at the conclusion of the program at 11:00 a.m.to mark the moment of time when the guns fell silent in 1918.
The program is made possible, in part, through the support of PSEG Long Island, Greenfield’s Shoprite, Squad Security and Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
The Museum of American Armor, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, is inside the grounds of Old Bethpage Village Restoration and is open year  around, Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
